Core Values
Core values are central guiding principles meant to guide valued behaviour and form the basis of the County Assembly of Bungoma’s entrenched culture. The core values affirm what the Assembly stands for, what drives it, its beliefs, and what directs its decisions, actions, and intra- and inter-relationships.
The Assembly Service espouses the following core values:
- Transparency and Accountability
In all undertakings, the Assembly aspires to ensure activities are undertaken in trackable ways and follow clear, approved procedures. Officers shall be responsible for decisions they make and shall be held accountable.
- Professionalism and Integrity
There shall be staff training and correct placement to ensure a high level of competence, teamwork, and public trust. Systems shall be put in place to promote integrity, exemplified through honesty and truthfulness in service.
- Inclusiveness
As a representative institution, the Assembly is composed of diverse groups including youth, minorities, marginalized persons, persons with disabilities, and men and women of different ethnic backgrounds.
- Human Dignity
At the core of the Assembly’s constitutional mandate is the goal to enhance the human dignity of Bungoma residents.
- Social Justice and Equity
The functions and operations of the Assembly promote equitable access to services across the County.
